Walking through the streets of Wrocław, you might suddenly stumble upon a very special resident: a bronze dwarf no taller than 30 centimeters. Welcome to the city of the Krasnale!

What is now the city’s most fun tourist attraction actually has deep historical roots. In the 1980s, dwarfs were the symbol of a peaceful and ironic resistance movement against the communist regime, called the “Orange Alternative”.
Today, hunting for these statues is an absolute must-do for visitors:
- How many are there? It is currently estimated that there are over 400 dwarfs scattered around the city, and the number keeps growing!
- Each dwarf has a job: There is a firefighter dwarf, a banker, a prisoner, and even a pizza-eating dwarf!
- How to find them: You can buy a paper map in the souvenir shops around the Rynek or download the official app for your smartphone. It is a real treasure hunt that kids love and adults find incredibly entertaining.

Where to eat after the treasure hunt? Looking for dwarfs requires a lot of energy and many miles of walking in the historic center.
